  • Clint gentry - PASTOr

    Clint was born and raised in Murray, KY, and is the son of Jeff and Sherida Gentry.  Clint is married to his beautiful wife and best friend, Elizabeth and they are blessed with a beautiful baby girl, Emberly. As the pastor at Elm Grove, Clint's goal is for Elm Grove to grow together as we seek to bring glory to God alone, by becoming more like King Jesus Christ. Clint's favorite verse is, "Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another." Proverbs 27:17.

  • Jordyn wells - children's director

    Jordyn was born and raised in Murray, KY. She graduated from Calloway County in 2004. Jordyn attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with an Elementary Education degree and received her M.A. from the University of the Cumberlands. She is married to Brandon Wells and they have three sons: Gage, Weston, and Deacon Boone. As the Children's Ministry Director, Jordyn's goal is to provide quality programs and activities that will enable us to instill biblical principles and values into the lives of children.

  • PAXTON JAMES - YOUTH PASTOR

    Paxton grew up in Marion, KY, and moved to Murray, KY in 2009. Paxton graduated from Murray High School in 2014 and Murray State University in 2017 with a degree in Finance. He is married to his lovely and Godly best friend Sydney. Paxton has served as the Youth Pastor at Elm Grove since August of 2021. He was ordained as a deacon in February of 2020. Paxton and Sydney’s main focus is to build relationships with the youth and their families and equip them with the knowledge and boldness to share the gospel. Contact Paxton for more information about the youth ministry at paxtonjames@elmgrovemurray.org.

  • sharon smith - Administrative assistant

    Sharon was raised from birth at Elm Grove, was later married here, and raised her own children here. She is married to Keith with two children, Shane and Lindsey.

    Martha is a native of Murray and Elm Grove, having served at the church for many years. She works with staff and volunteer leaders as our treasurer to ensure clarity, accountability, and accuracy within our financial records and transactions.

Volunteer leadership

The strength, stability, and longevity of our church would not be possible without the selfless service of countless volunteers. Three key groups help guide the vision and direction here at Elm Grove.


Church Council

Our Church Council represents all areas of ministry and serves as the group through which ministry direction is set. The Council's main responsibilities include planning, coordinating, conducting, and evaluating the various ministries of the church, along with setting goals for each upcoming church year. 


Deacons

Elm Grove is blessed with a group of Deacons whose one objective is clear: serve the church. They do so by offering biblical guidance and advice to the pastor and staff, serving the physical and spiritual needs of the people, protecting the unity and harmony of the church body, and planning, preparing, and serving the Lord's supper on a regular basis. Current deacons: Matt Turner, Jeff Gentry, Chris Nelson, JT Hearn, Jerry Tucker, Jason Bathon, DJ Garland, and Tyler Befus.  


Trustees

From the annual church budget to the maintenance and expansion of church property, our trustees have a vital role at Elm Grove. Thanks to their tireless work, Elm Grove is recognized as a 501(c)(3) non-profit institution by the state of Kentucky, providing legal and liability protection for church members.
